I would say it's the best snow of the season right now. as for the trails the little I touched on them, were in very good condition ( north of calumet). If your staying in Houghton trail 17 and 3 have been plagued by poor grooming this year, it's hit or miss on this loop between houghton ,Calumet,lake linden, and Dollar Bay. alot of people have been trailing to avoid this washboard of a trail. This is a high priority loop as far as local business. something has to be done to maintain this loop better then it has been, as these businesses are loosing $$$. !!!No trail from Chassell to houghton!! if this issue isn't resolved in favor of the railroad grade and snowmobilers, you might be kissing snowmobiling in Michigan goodbye when it comes to abandoned railway beds. all it will take is 1 anti-snowmobiler landowner to say "I dont want the trail going through my property." The majority of trails run on old railroad beds. It’s a '99 MXZ 670 H.O. Toni Hakionen special edition that has 3,600 miles on it. This is the fastest sled out there under 700cc. If any of you racers out there know about the new 700cc racing rules, this is your sled. It does need some upper engine work; therefore it’s a great project sled to fix up for the race track. This is a great sled and I hate to see it go.
