So were do we go from there no signs. So thanks to person driving down the road in his pickup showed us the way around it. Just go west to the next road turn left and about 1/2 a mile down you will pick up the trail again.Rough is not a word for that trail.Great east of chandler rd. You would think that the the gas station and bar on 131 would fix that.I would like to thank all the people that take care of all the good trails trails al the way from Grayling to west chandler rd. Looks like they got some more snow overnight. More snow is expected later in the week. So looks like good to excellent conditions going into the weekend.<br><br>Below are the latest reports that we have:<br><br>FROM THE GAYLORD BUREAU - February 6, 2008<br>We have been grooming and the trails are "Very Good" to "Excellent" with a nice base. We received another 3-4 inches of new snow yesterday with a forecast for another 3-5 inches today. Temperatures will remain cold with a chance of fresh snow each day throughout the weekend. <br><br>RAYS RETREAT TRAIL REPORT - February 5, 2008<br>Finally! We were able to get out and ride the trails ourselves. We rode 65 miles this afternoon enjoying the north/south loops (trail 4 and 404) along with the west loop (trail 774 that ends behind Big Boy).<br><br>It was decent riding. 404 was the smoothest section although there was a tree bent over the trail that you need to ride underneath all the way over to the side…. if you come up on that too quickly it could be an accident!<br><br>None of the trails were so rough that we weren’t able to keep up a steady 40 mph, faster through the powerlines and straight shots. The first day on the trails My Ski Doo experienced a fuel problem. I took my sled to Xtreme Power Sports were I alway purchase my parts, oil, etc.. and explained that I was 8 hours from home and could like someone to look at my sled. They jokingly laughed at me and said get in line. I then asked if there was anyone eles in town that could look at my sled and the again laughed and said try to take it to the Artic Cat dealer, so I did. I entered the Cat deealership and was greeted by a friendly salesman who sent me to the service dept. I explain to the Service Dept. That I was on Ski Doo and not a Artic Cat but I needed some help. He said "we don't care what you ride as long as you ride". He then brought my sled in and fixed it and had me back on the trail. The very next morning my friend had problems with his Polaris that he purchased from Xtreme and was treated the same way as I was. He also went to Total Power Sports for help and the stayed after hours to get him back on the trail. Customer service and friendly people is what always brings me back to Gaylord. There are two marathon station on M-72 One at goose creek rd. and another West of that by the blue bear drop off. They say out of order and no public reastroom, the one offers a out house that is just unreal and not for handicap people and Just plain nassty not fit for a dog.We snowmobilers bye gas and we can;t use the restrooms. I think if all the snowmobilers stop buying there gas maybe they would at least let the ladys use there restrooms.
